Description
FD&C Red No. 40 Granular are dark reddish brown granules, more commonly known as NT Red. FD&C Red No. 40 gives a yellowish red color in solution. It has good resistance to acids, alkalies, heat and light. Resistance to oxidizing and reducing agents is fair to poor. The major uses of FD&C Red No. 40 are in beverages, bakery goods, pet foods, dessert powders, confections and cereals.
