Geogard™ 111A and Geogard™ 111S, offer higher fungal efficacy at a low “in-use” cost. Geogard 111A is based on dehydroacetic acid (DHA); and Geogard 111S is sodium dehydroacetate, the water soluble form of DHA. These preservatives are globally approved for many personal care and cosmetic applications. Test data comparing Geogard™ 111A and 111S to parabens show higher efficacy and substantially better performance in low to neutral pH formulations.
