Description
Lorol® C16-95 is derived from vegetable based, renewable raw material sources. It can be used as a direct adjuvant or can undergo primary alcohol reactions for the preparation of intermediates or end products. Lorol® C16-95 is widely used in cosmetic and personal care creams and lotions. Ethoxylates, sulfates, and melting point modifiers for waxes can be prepared. When derivatized into a fatty acid ester, it exhibits good lubricity properties. Lorol® C16-95 can be used as a water evaporation retardant in reservoirs. It is an intermediate in the manufacture of alkyl bromo compounds for flame retardants. Additionally, alkyl chlorides can be prepared for conversion into quaternaries.
