Emery® 405
The titer, iodine value and Stearic: Palmitic ratio (65: 35) of Emery® 405 Stearic Acid closely approximates those of most hydrogenated stearic acids. It thus serves as a suitable lower cost replacement in those applications where color and other end-use specifications are not critical. It finds extensive use in producing economical buffing compounds having maximum hardness and minimum shrinkage.
