Description
S-Maz® 60K Flake is one of a group called sorbitan fatty acid esters. This surfactant is a mixture of partial esters of sorbitol and its anhydrides, and is made from fatty acids, primarily stearic. This product is designated with a “K” which means that it has Kosher U Certification. Soluble or dispersible in oil and tend to form water-in-oil emulsions. Also soluble in most organic solvents and dispersible in water. Frequently, in industrial applications, the S-Maz® 60K Flake is combined with the T-MAZ® surfactants to promote emulsion stability.
